Individuals looking to get their name on the ballot for this year’s bi-annual city elections need to start collecting signatures.
In Perry, voters will elect a mayor for a two-year term, along with four year terms for at-large, ward one and ward three council members. Adel voters will vote for a mayor in a two-year term, and three at-large council members for four year terms.
Both communities require candidates to have at least 25 signatures on their nomination petitions in order to be listed on the ballot.
Nomination papers were made available Monday by the Dallas County Auditor’s office and are due Thursday, September 17th.
The city elections take place Tuesday, November 3rd.
