The Greene County Rams continue to prepare for the 2015 volleyball season opener on Saturday, Sept. 5 in Lake City at the South Central Calhoun tournament. Head Coach Donna Carhill has just one player with any varsity experience after 11 of the 12 on last season’s varsity squad graduated. Junior Nadia Fisher is the only player back from the 2014 team that was 6-3 in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference and 13-18 overall.
Coach Carhill told Raccoon Valley Radio what she’s told the players, including the seniors, when it comes to playing on the varsity level. “Our learning curve is going to be pretty steep and I told the players they have to give themselves permission to learn. They’re going to have matches where the learning curve is going to be real intense.”
