The West Central Valley football Wildcats will open their season with a trip to play Des Moines Christian on August 28th, but a change of venue has had to be made. Des Moines Christian is building a new football field, but construction delays mean it will not be ready for the beginning of the football season. Instead the two teams will meet at Johnston High School on August 28th, with the original game time of 7 p.m.
