The 18th Annual Four County Antique Tractor Ride is taking place this Saturday in Greene County.

Co-organizer Perry Parker says the tractor ride will leave the fairgrounds in Jefferson at 9am and head to Seven Hills Park, stop at Squirrel Hollow Park for lunch, and finish at Spring Lake Park before arriving back at the fairgrounds in the mid-afternoon.  He points out that the ride helps to preserve history with the tractors that are from the 1970’s and earlier.  Participants will be enjoying a leisurely drive along the Raccoon River and stay mostly on gravel roads.

Parker notes that participants must also bring a sack lunch to the free event.  There will also be areas to park trailers and other vehicles at the fairgrounds.  About 60 tractors attended last year.

No pre-registration is required, just show up the day of the ride.  It will be held rain or shine.

Contact Parker at 515-370-0580 or Co-organizer Alan Thompson at 712-830-6848 for more information.
