The 2015 Greene County High School football team and coaching staff were unveiled late Wednesday afternoon at Media Day for Raccoon Valley Radio at the high school in Jefferson. Players in grades nine through 12 have had official practice since Monday and will continue the transition from helmets, t-shirts and shorts, to adding shoulder pads, to full pads and full contact on Saturday of this week.
In addition to Head Coach Dean Lansman, the coaching staff is comprised of Tony Beger, Kevin Paulsen, Ronnie Pollock, Doug Whipple, Kelly Dellagardelle, Greg Ruth and Mark Renslow. Most of the coaches return from coaching last season on the high school level, while others moved up to the high school level from middle school.
The Rams open the regular season on Friday, Aug. 28 in Lake City vs. South Central Calhoun on KG98 and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. Coach Lansman’s team will host Panorama (Panora) on Friday, Aug. 21 at Linduska Field in Jefferson for the Annual Sports Drink Scrimmage.
