West Central Valley’s Head Boys Soccer Coach Jon Boss has been hired as an assistant women’s soccer coach at Waverly’s Wartburg College. West Central Valley Activities Director Tod Broman says losing a coach like Boss is bittersweet. “I’m very happy for Jon. Moving from a high school to a college is big. Who knows where that could lead. It just shows the quality of coach that he is. Kind of like a parent, you want your kids to do well, but at the same time, you don’t want them to leave the house. Just knowing how well he’s done for the past three years, I hate to see him go.”

Over the past three seasons, Boss led the Wildcats to an overall record of 36-14-1, including a trip to the state tournament in 2014.
