The Nodaway Valley football Wolverines ended last season with a record of 4-5. They bring back a strong senior class and according to the BCMoore power rankings, they are a middle of the road team, ranked 32nd out of 64 teams in Class A. Senior Jackson Lamb returns as an effective throwing quarterback who is also able to dive into the end zone himself in goal line situations. Star running back Brennan Weiland is also back for his senior year, he ran for nearly 1,200 yards last season. The Wolverines return four of their top five leading tacklers from last season, Lamb, Ryan Jensen, Sam Marnin and Josh Allsup.
