A group of missionaries from the Knoxville, Tennessee area are in Stuart through this evening performing a free gospel revival concert at Lawbaugh Park. Missionary Taylor Greene says tonight’s performance is youth night. “The music will be a little different. Usually for normal services, it’s kind of more laid back. There’s not as much upbeat concert type music. It will be more geared towards the youth and their liking.”
Missionary Keith Patterson says they made the journey from Tennessee to help their friend, Pastor Scott Hill, of Stuart’s Heartland Baptist Church. “He’s actually from the same town we are in Tennessee. God laid it on his heart to come up here and start a church. Because we’re all locally affiliated, we feel God called us up here to help get him started. He’s actually been here for about a year now and we’re here helping him get the word out.”
Tonight’s music and festivities starts at 6:30 p.m. at Stuart’s Lawbaugh Park.
