A 2016 presidential candidate will serve as the headline speaker at the Dallas County Republican’s annual Steak Fry event next month.

Florida Senator Marco Rubio will join the local GOP at the Van Meter Legion Hall on Tuesday, August 18th.

Party Chair Tyler De Haan says it’s great to be able to have the Senator in Dallas County. “As the fastest growing county in Iowa, it is important to have a strong outreach to young families and Hispanics in 2016” added De Haan.

Several state and county officials will also be in attendance.  The event will include a catered dinner and a chance to meet and greet Rubio, followed by a keynote address and pie auction.
