A local agriculture business near Perry has expanded to offer more than just farm products and this weekend everyone is invited to help them celebrate.
Tri-County Ag recently purchased, renovated and built facilities on the northwest corner of Highways 141 and 169. Agronomist Specialist Sean Schroeder says their goal is to offer full service options for a variety of area customers.
“We are just continuing to expand. This has been our big expansion this year. We’re starting to be able to offer some more products and fertilizers, where in the past we haven’t really been able to serve those things like we would like to. So this year the expansion is really allowing us to start serving our growers like we’d like to.”
This Saturday the company is hosting an open house event, complete with a ribbon cutting by Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey, along with food and entertainment.
“The official grand opening starts at 3 o’clock. We will be showing growers around, doing some tours and explain to everyone what we’re doing out there, where the corner is now going and what our plans are for the future. And then from about 6:30 on we will have our official first act starting out there. So we have a concert going on with a couple opening acts and then our main headlining act will be Jason Brown. Should be a lot of fun. We invite everyone to bring their lawn chairs, bring a cooler, come on out and enjoy the night.”
The Raccoon Valley Radio “Big Red Radio” will be there broadcasting live from 3-5pm.
Schroeder will further explain the expansion project and the services Tri-County Ag offers on today’s Let’s Talk Dallas County program. You can tune in on AM 1310 KDLS, the new 99.7 FM or online at RaccoonValleyRadio.com during the 9am, noon and 5pm hours.
