Final statistics from the 2015 softball season at Greene County High School have been released. Coach Tom Kennedy’s team set a record for victories in a single season for a Jefferson-based program during the 32-7 campaign that resulted in a Heart of Iowa Activities Conference championship and a third place finish at the Class 3A State Tournament. Greg Ruth and Tiffany Hupp are the assistant coaches.
The team batting average was .336 with 25 home runs and a scoring average of 7.33 runs per game. The team had 14 triples and 68 doubles while striking out a total of 126 times and walking 93. The on-base percentage was .390 and the slugging percentage was .486.
Ram pitchers combined for a 2.94 earned run average with a .218 opponent batting average. The team was charged with 65 errors for an average of 1.66 errrors per game.
