The National Weather Service says temperatures will hit the 90’s again this week. Though humans can actively protect themselves from the heat, our pets can not. Linda Shelley with Panora PETS says people sometimes forget that going for a walk on a hot summer day can be harmful to our animals. “If it’s too hot for your bare feet, then it is too hot for your dog’s paws. It can injure and burn their paws.”

Shelley will provide us with pet safety tips today on Let’s Talk Guthrie County. It airs during the 9 a.m., noon and 5 p.m. hours on K107.9 and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com
