Those who would like to learn more about promoting their business to tourists in Greene County are invited to a free workshop tonight.
Greene County Chamber Tourism and Events Coordinator Angie Pedersen says Amy Zeigler with Iowa Tourism will lead a presentation about how to use the state’s free website, Traveliowa.com. Pedersen comments that the workshop will be worthwhile for the community to keep growing its tourism industry.
“Getting the word out is key. And there’s lots of great resources available online and it’s just knowing how to use it and how to better represent yourself. If your restaurant or your retail store is listed on Travel Iowa as something to do that tour planner, whether it’s on a big scale-group tours-or moms and dads planning vacations, they’ll see what you have to offer.”
It will be in the meeting room in the basement of the Sierra Community Theatre in Jefferson at 5:30pm. Pre-registration is encouraged by calling the Chamber at 386-2155.
