A Carroll County man was sentenced in Greene County District Court last week.
According to court documents, 25 year-old Cody Sellman of Dedham was sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty to possession of a firearm by a felon, third degree burglary and a Carroll County felony charge.
The Greene County charges stem from a December 29th investigation when Sellman waved a sawed-off shotgun in the air during an argument in the 1600 block of Scranton Street in Scranton. Authorities recovered the weapon during a search of Sellman’s home in Scranton. The other incident happened on March 9th when Sellman was arrested for burglary of a home in the 900 block of Grant Street in Scranton.
Sellman’s sentence is to run concurrently and he was ordered to pay for court costs and restitution.
