With temperatures in the 90s and heat indexes even higher, it’s dangerous to spend too much outside this week. Thankfully, the McCreary Community Building has added a new opportunity for youngsters to get rid of some energy during the day.
“We just started the Tot Gym, which is (for children) ages zero to six. Basically Mondays and Thursdays from 9-11am daycares or parents just looking to get their kids out and active for a social experience or get them out running and tired, can come out to the (recreation center). We have play equipment, we have the parachute that everyone loved growing up when they used it in (physical education) there’s the dominos, there’s bowling, I mean there’s just everything.”
That’s Recreation Coordinator Becky Towers. For more information, stop by the McCreary Community Building or call 465-5621.
