IMG_2829Thousands of people lined the two mile stretch of Willis Avenue in Perry Saturday morning as more than 100 parade entries made their way from the East Perry Plaza to Pattee Park for the Perry Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual 4th of July parade.

From political parties and candidates to businesses, a drum line, dance studio, churches, and of course our local police and fire departments, it was a large and diverse group participating.

Once the parade was over, hundreds stuck around Pattee Park to shop the variety of vendors, participate in kids activities, take part in water fights and enjoy live entertainment from Showtime Dance Studio, the Al Welsh Orchestra, Skeeter Creek Band and P.O.W.

As always, the festivities culminated with the annual fireworks display that Executive Director Bob Wilson says draws people from at least three counties.
