The Dallas County Conservation Department invites everyone to participate in a Rock Bar Ramble later this month.
It takes place at the Snyder Track Rock Bar on Sunday, July 26th.
Museum Curator Pete Malmberg says it’s like a treasure hunt led by a naturalist.
“She will guide you through there and give you a chance to look at all kinds of human and geological treasures. That could be quartz, chert, jasper, brachiopods, arrowheads, spear tips, crockery junks, you name it. She’ll find all sorts of relics with you.”
It’s a free afternoon program from 2:00-4:00 but pre-registration is required. To sign up, call 465-3577.
