A deputy and the key holder checked an alarm activation at the Lake Side Golf Course. The building was found to be secure.
A deputy was dispatched to a two vehicle accident on Highway 30 and Railroad Street West in Grand Junction. A westbound 2009 Chevrolet Impala being driven by Lynne Paul Schnoebelen 56, of Riverside, Iowa, was attempting to turn left onto Railroad Street, at Rueter’s Red Power, when a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country Van being driven by Robert Lawayne Dennis 23, of Princeton, Texas, failed to slow and struck the Schnoebelen vehicle in the rear. Schnoebelen and a passenger were not injured, but his car sustained an estimated $2800 in damages. Robert Dennis was also not injured, but his vehicle sustained an estimated $7500 in damages and Robert was issued a citation for Failure to Maintain Control.
A deputy was advised of a vehicle driving recklessly northbound on N Avenue near 170th Street. The deputy was out of position on another call and unable to respond to try and locate the car.
A deputy assisted an Iowa State Patrol Officer with an accident involving a pull camper that came unhooked from its tow unit and struck another car at the intersection of Highway 30 and 144 in Grand Junction.
A deputy conducted Tobacco Compliance checks throughout the County.
A deputy is investigating a harassment concern in the 800 block of East Percival Street in Grand Junction.
A deputy assisted with locating a caller that was leaving harassing text messages to a resident in the 1800 block of Neola Avenue.
Friday, May 29th
A deputy was dispatched to a reported motorcycle lying on its side on Highway 30 between Scranton and Jefferson. The deputy was unable to locate any vehicles in that area from Jefferson to the Carroll County Line.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
