Perry Head Coach Mike Long watched his Bluejays sweep Roland Story last night. The Perry Bluejays swept Roland Story in non conference baseball Thursday night. Perry defeated the Norsemen 10-6 and 8-2. Will Whiton had a big night offensively finishing with 5 RBI’s in the two games including his first home run of the year. Kyle Nevitt finished 6-8 in the two games with 3 stolen bases. Blake Lansing added a couple of hits and 2 RBI in game one. Blake Lansing, Janier Puente and Adan Medina combined in the second game to hold the Norse to 2 runs. Lansing picked up the win.
Alex Long was solid out of the bullpen in game one pitching four and two thirds scoreless innings to earn the save. Whiton started but was lifted in the third after surrending six hits and one walk while throwing 72 pitches. Whiton picked up the win after the early offensive surge for Perry.
