The theme for this year’s summer reading programs is Every Hero Has a Story and the Perry Public Library plans to honor everyday heroes, along with those made famous through books, movies and comic strips.
The library is sponsoring a special blood drive event on Thursday, June 4th from 12:30-3:30pm.
Library Director Mary Murphy says in their eyes, blood donors are heroes and anyone who is at least 16 years old, weighs at least 120 pounds and has no health conditions is invited to join the ranks of the everyday heroes who help save lives.
Anyone wanting to participate is encouraged to make an appointment by calling 465-3569.
