A deputy was not able to locate a reported semi-tractor trailer being driven erratically on Highway 144 south east of Rippey.
A deputy was advised of the illegal dumping of garbage in the 600 block of 150th Street.
The Greene County Sheriff’s office was advised of a railroad crossing arm that was malfunctioning at the Main Street crossing in Scranton. The Union Pacific Railroad was advised of the malfunction.
A deputy helped resolve a personal property civil issue in the 1900 block of Locust Street in Scranton.
A deputy was informed by a resident in the 400 block of K Avenue that she had received a scam phone call indicating that she needed to contact the IRS or would be in serious trouble. Many individuals in Greene County have received this same phone call.
A deputy was dispatched to Scranton to investigate the report of a suspicious male walking around town. The male was not located upon the deputy’s arrival.
Thursday, May 14th
A deputy was asked to remove a baby raccoon from a residence in Farlin.
A deputy was dispatched to investigate someone trespassing and disturbing a resident in the 100 block of South Wise Street in Paton.
A deputy was dispatched to investigate a male subject that was at the Sparky’s One Stop in Churdan. The elderly male was transported to the Greene County Law Enforcement Center for his safety. His family is being notified of his present location.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
