Whether you’re looking for a gift idea for Mother’s Day or just want something to brighten up your own patio, there’s no need to travel outside your own hometown.

For example, the Friends of the Perry Public Library are doing a fundraiser this spring that helps them support library programs and also supports a local business.  The Friends are selling hanging basket vouchers for $20 each. You can then take that voucher to Hartman Floral and pick out your favorite hanging plant basket, and $5 will go back to the Friends.

Bob Wilson with the Perry Area Chamber of Commerce says it’s a win-win for all involved.

“This is another example of collaboration and partnership that I really enjoy and I think the Chamber does a really good job of.  Their goal is $500.  The Friends give back to the library to help support all kinds of great programming and what not.  I just want to say this is a great idea, a great opportunity to benefit both the library and support a great local business, Hartman Floral.”
