A deputy was dispatched to a two vehicle accident on Highway 30 near T Avenue. A 1989 Ford F 150 pickup being driven by Reginald Lee Stuhldryer 38, of Grand Junction was westbound on Highway 30 when he attempted to pass a 2015 International semi-tractor trailer owned by Fort Dodge Distributing Company Inc. and being driven by Joshua Jerome Orr 27, of Fort Dodge. As Stuhldryer was attempting to pass the semi, he noticed an eastbound vehicle approaching and drove into the south ditch to keep from hitting the oncoming vehicle.  The Stuhldryer pickup then came back onto the highway and was struck in the rear by the semi. No injuries were reported and damage to the semi was estimated to be $2000. The Stuhldryer vehicle sustained an estimated $1000 in damages and Reginald Stuhldryer was issued citations for Failure to Prove Security against Liability- Accident Related and Unsafe Passing.

The Chief Deputy Sheriff investigated the report of fraudulent practices involving the inheritance of money and personal property from a Greene County resident.

A deputy assisted a Jefferson Police Officer with traffic control at Elm and Lincolnway Streets while a stalled truck was removed from the roadway.

A deputy was dispatched to the Grand Junction Car Wash to investigate an attempted burglary to the building. No entry was gained into the car wash.

The Chief Deputy Sheriff was advised of the possible location of stolen property taken from a residence in Grand Junction.

A deputy was asked to check the welfare of a male subject in the 1500 block of U Avenue.

A deputy was dispatched to the 200 block of 16th street in Grand Junction to investigate the report of stolen  property. Some of the items were recovered and the investigation is ongoing at this time.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
