The Perry Area Community Band will entertain music fans again this summer, but this time under new leadership.
When Steve Cook retired as director of the Perry High School band after 28 years last spring, he also retired from directing the community band. This means new Director of Bands, Brandon Weeks will take over.
Weeks says he’s extremely excited for the opportunity and is looking forward to working with the local musicians.
This year’s concerts will again take place at the Pattee Park band shell on Thursday nights starting June 11th. The music kicks off at 8pm and concerts continue weekly through July 2nd.
