Just after midnight, several Greene County residents experienced power outages due to the first thunderstorm of the season.
Alliant Energy officials report that there were 52 residents without power, out of their 3,424 Greene County customers. Outages were first reported at 1:32am and all power was restored by 6:08am.
Abby Sprague with Midland Power Cooperative says almost 900 customers in Greene, Boone and Webster counties were without power starting around midnight and power was restored by 2:30am. Sprague adds that the issue was from a large power supplier that was effected by the storm.
