The boys’ track & field squad at Greene County High School takes part in the Winterset Husky Relays today. Coach Dean Lansman’s Rams will be participating in their second outdoor meet of the season, but it’s the first where team score will be kept.
Coach Lansman talked to Raccoon Valley Radio about what the participation plan for today’s meet will be. “We need to spread kids out a little bit more, and we won’t necessarily take everybody. At our meet on Monday most kids ran three to four races and you could see that in the last race, the 4 x 400. Winterset will be boys’ only, so it’s a quick meet and spreading guys out to give them a little bit of a break is what our plan is going in.”
In addition to the Rams and the host Huskies, teams include ADM, Carlisle, Central Decatur (Leon), Creston, Earlham, Martensdale-St. Mary’s, Mt. Ayr, Nevada, Nodaway Valley, Norwalk, and Orient-Macksburg.
