Last week, the Guthrie County Board of Supervisors approved the budget for the upcoming fiscal year. The budget contains funds for the Sheriff’s Office to hire a new deputy. The Sheriff’s Office is already taking applications for that deputy position. Sheriff Marty Arganbright says the position offers an excellent work environment, with a steady flow of calls for service but enough time to patrol independently. Arganbright expects to hear from many qualified applicants.
