The Jefferson City Council will meet tonight.
The Council is expected to approve the 2016 fiscal year budget following a public hearing. There will also be a public hearing and a resolution to accept land acquisition for a runway extension at the Jefferson Municipal Airport. A third public hearing will then take place for the plans, form of contract and estimate of cost for the 2015 Sanitary Sewer and Manhole Rehabilitation project along with a resolution to approve the project and award the contract bid.
The Council will consider three other resolutions. One is for the contract and payment of bonds for the 2015 Water and Sanitary Sewer Improvements Project. The second resolution will be for a contract and payment of bonds for computer upgrades to the water treatment plant. The final resolution is for the plans, form of contract and estimate of cost for the 2015 Grimmell Road Lift Station Project and setting a public hearing date.
Other items on the agenda include appointing a new Assistant Parks and Recreation Director, removing asbestos at 107 South Olive Street, approving the City’s insurance policy with Unger Insurance and a discussion about allocating Hotel/Motel Tax funds.
The meeting will be at 8:30am in the City Hall Council Chambers.
