Greene County High School student-athletes will be busy today and tonight in three different postseason sports. Sophomore Nick Schroeder swims for Boone under an athletic sharing agreement and he and his teammates are in State competition today at the Marshalltown YMCA. Schroeder qualified in the 100 freestyle and also on the 400 freestyle relay. Greene County wrestlers Abe Yoder (132), Jordan Challen (138), Tommy Bradshaw (145), and Hunter Ruth (195) go to Webster City for District action at 12 p.m. First and second place finishers in each district weight class advance to the Feb. 19-21 State Tournament in Des Moines at Wells Fargo Arena. The Greene County girls’ basketball team enters postseason play tonight in Stuart vs. West Central Valley on KG98. The Class 3A Region 8 quarterfinal tips off at 7 p.m. with coverage at 6:30 p.m. The Rams are 8-13 while the Wildcats have a 10-11 record.
