Perry President’s Day Closure Reminders

A reminder to Perry area residents, several offices and departments are closed Monday in observance of President’s Day.

All Perry City Offices and the Perry Public Library are closed Monday.  The McCreary Community Building will be open limited hours from 1-5pm, with the pool closing at 4:30.

The second City Council meeting of the month has been postponed until Tuesday at 6pm in the Clarion Room of the Security Bank Building.

In addition, Monday’s garbage and recycling routes will be picked up Tuesday and Tuesday’s routes will be run on Wednesday.

All City operations will resume as normal on Tuesday.

Dallas County Supervisors Meeting Preview

The Dallas County Board of Supervisors will meet in regular session Tuesday morning.

Items on the agenda include approval of payroll change notices, setting a public hearing to present the fiscal year 2015-2016 budget, consideration of a resolution in regards to bridge weight limit postings and a review of human services campus asbestos abatement proposals.

The Board will then discuss security needs at the human services campus, before going into another budget workshop.

The meeting takes place at 9am Tuesday in the Board of Supervisors meeting room in Adel.
