State Representative Clel Baudler says the house and senate are at each other’s throats when it comes to deciding the right path to go when it comes to allowable growth for Iowa’s schools, comparing the discussions to a knife fight. Recently, a bill passed the House allowing for over $100 million to schools in allowable growth, that comes out to a 1.25% rate. The senate wants to give 4%. Baudler says the two numbers will end up in a conference committee, and there is likely to be no outcome for several weeks.
