Last week, the Guthrie County Board of Supervisors voted to form a joint committee with the City of Guthrie Center to explore law enforcement options for the city. Last night, Guthrie Center’s City Council voted to approve the committee on their end. No further plans have been set regarding the committee, whose membership is still in the process of being formed, but both the county and the city have expressed desire in exploring future law enforcement options for the City of Guthrie Center, and eventually hosting a public meeting once those options have been thoroughly explored.
