Greene County 4-H’ers are reminded of several deadlines that are fast approaching.

ISU Extension 4-H and Youth Coordinator Sarah Jo Reynolds says those 4-H’ers that participated in December’s market beef weigh-ins need to verify their online information by Sunday, February 1st.  She says she’s very happy with how many 4-H’ers came to the market beef weigh-in.

“We did have a really good beef weigh-in.  We had 102 head that were weighed in on Sunday, December 14th and that was actually about 20 head up from last year, so  that’s really great, we’re excited to see that.”

Reynolds stresses the need to verify your information on your 4-H online profile and make any necessary changes.   The information that is entered will be used for both county and state fair.

Other February 1st deadlines are 4-H recognitions for state council, national 4-H Congress and the 4-H national conference along with applying for Iowa 4-H Foundation scholarships.
