Less than twenty-four hours after the news came out that the West Central Valley girls varsity basketball team would be hosting a Valentine’s Day Regional playoff game against Greene County, West Central Valley’s head girls coach Drew Stonewall said his team had a bit of a preparation test in their game against a quality Van Meter team that night, “I would definitely like to have Van Meter as a win tonight, that would be by far our biggest win of the year. They are a really good team, well coached.”

The reality, however, is that West Central Valley lost to Van Meter last night by a score of 49 to 63. West Central Valley falls to an 8-9 record, Van Meter is now 12-5. The West Central Valley girls play again tomorrow night, when they head up to play an Ogden team with a record of 7-10. Tip off in Ogden is set for 6 pm.
