The Iowa Girl’s High School Athletic Union recently released a memo from their Executive Director Jason Eslinger about the decline in sportsmanship at high school basketball games around the State. Tod Broman is West Central Valley’s Activities Director, and says he believes his home crowd to be fairly well behaved, “If there’s anything bad, the officials may something to me. But, West Central Valley fans are typically very, very good. We’ve had occasional episodes, though.”
Broman also said that although the governing athletic organization for boy’s sports gives their crowd a grade for sportsmanship, the IGHSAU currently does not.
