A one-vehicle rollover accident sends two people to a hospital in Jefferson.
According to the Greene County Sheriff’s office at 8:54 this morning, deputies, Greene County Emergency Medical Services, Jefferson Fire and Police departments and the Iowa State Patrol responded to a one-vehicle rollover accident on Lincoln Way just east of Jefferson.
Iowa State Trooper Jeff Cunningham tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the driver of a Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck was heading west on Lincoln Way and it appears that the driver was trying to pass another vehicle, when he lost control, went off the road and rolled the truck into a tree.
Cunningham says the male driver and a male juvenile passenger were taken to the Greene County Medical Center by Greene County EMS with non-life threatening injuries.
The current conditions of the victims and their names are not known at this time. The vehicle is considered to be a total loss.
Trooper Cunningham states that charges may be forthcoming upon completion of his investigation.
