The Back Pack program, which launched this month at Panorama schools with the goal of providing food to underprivileged children all week is already a success according to the district, and according to one of the people responsible for bringing the program to light, Scott Fredrickson of Farmer’s Cooperative, “Back Pack program is going well, we started serving 40 kids here on January 9th, and we’re serving them every Friday, sending two meals home every weekend with them.”
Panorama is serving as the pilot program for Back Pack, and if it remains successful, the program could spread to other towns around the State.
