A gritty team, and mix of small scrappy freshman like Quenton Spack, known by teammates and coaches as ‘Q’, and high-flying senior Jared Berger, the Guthrie Center boys have a 1-10 record, and at this point in the season are out there to have fun, and gain experience, as head varsity coach Zack Leeper will tell you, “We’re making sure these younger kids are developing, and the older kids are staying focused, and everyone is focused on getting better. All we can do is go to practice every day and focus on getting better.”
The Guthrie Center Tigers travel to Ogden tonight to face a team who is 5-7 on the season, but have won three in a row.
