Everyone is invited to support a couple of fundraisers by the Greene County High School students.
Teresa Green with the junior/senior prom committee says everyone can enjoy their chili supper at the Jefferson Elks Lodge tonight from 5-7pm. You can receive a bowl of chili, crackers, relishes, dessert and a beverage for $6 per person and anyone ages five and under can eat for free. All proceeds will go to this year’s prom.
Green points out that there is free delivery available. Those who want their meal delivered can call the high school in Jefferson at 386-2188 to make arrangements.
Then during the basketball games tonight against PCM, Monroe, Deb Marquardt says the basketball cheerleaders will be starting their Relay for Life fundraisers by selling paper basketballs for $1 in memory or support of someone who is fighting cancer or who lost their battle with the disease with all proceeds to be given to Relay for Life.
The basketballs will be on display on the entrance wall to the middle school gym for the rest of the basketball season.
