The Stuart Public Library has released their Fiscal Year 2013/2014 financial report, and it shows that their total revenue for the year was just over $50,000. They spent their entire budget, and the biggest expense was on salaries and benefits which cost them nearly $43,000. A library survey released along with the report indicates that 94% of responding patrons rated the library as “good” or “excellent”, and 100% rated the library as important, or very important to the well-being of the community. Additional highlights included the library receiving re-accreditation by the State of Iowa, and serving over 24,000 total patrons.
