A local doctor in Jefferson recently received an award for his continuing community service.
Dr. Steven Karber was recognized with the McFarland Clinic Trusted Choice Community Service Award.
He was honored for his dedication to community service, largely with the 4-H program. He is an active member with the Greene County Lamb Producers and he has developed a “Barn Project” which he educates young people about how to care for and grow lambs.
He has also helped youth in sports, academics and medical school advice and takes time to volunteer when he can.
Dr. Karber was also given $500 to donate to an organization, of which he picked the Greene County 4-H Foundation.
