Tuesday, November 18th
A deputy, while executing a traffic stop on an out of county resident, learned that the male had a No Contact Order from Johnson County which had not been served. The deputy issued a short form order and advised Johnson County of serving the male.
A deputy was unable to locate several horses that were reported to be on the roadway at S Avenue and 240th Street.
A deputy assisted a Jefferson Police Officer with locating a missing Labrador retriever and returning her to its owner.
A deputy was dispatched to remove a deer carcass from the roadway on Neola Avenue near 340th Street.
A deputy was asked by the Perry Police Department to locate a Rippey resident and advise him to call the Perry PD regarding an auto accident in which he may have been involved.
Wednesday, November 19th
A deputy while on routine patrol, checked an unoccupied vehicle at 130th Street and S Avenue.
A deputy was dispatched to the 1100 block of Maple Street in Scranton to determine the origin of several E-911 hang up calls. The deputy determined that several youth within the home were using a cell phone.
A deputy was dispatched to a car-deer accident on 240th Street and K Avenue. A 2013 Chevrolet Equinox being driven by Amber Leann Lawton 27, of rural Jefferson reported that she was westbound on 240th Street and passing K Avenue when a deer bounded out of the north ditch and she ran into the deer. Amber Lawton was not injured, but her vehicle sustained an estimated $4000 in damages.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
