Anyone ages 21 and over are invited to a special social event sponsored by Jefferson Matters: Main Street’s Under Forty Organization.

JMMS Board President Jamie Daubendiek says they will be hosting a wine and beer tasting at RVP~1875 this Friday, November 21st from 6:30-8:30pm.  Hy-Vee Wine and Spirits will be catering the event and serve food as well.

UFO has been meeting since this past summer and Daubendiek explains why the group was first created.

“We’ve had a very solid group of volunteers in the Jefferson Matters: Main Street program and one area that we saw that was lacking was the younger generation.  So we started to create this more of a networking type deal to get people to know each other, but then ultimately do some service projects in the downtown district and help build awareness of the Main Street program.”

Tickets are $15 per person.  Space is limited and you can RSVP by noon on Thursday to Katie Leusink at Home State Bank.
