The State Auditor’s Office has released an audit report on the City of Perry’s municipal waterworks department.
In fiscal year 2014, which ended June 30th, the Waterworks had a total of $2.2 million in receipts, which is a seven percent increase over 2013. This includes $1.6 million in charges for service, $383,000 in sewer and garbage fees collected and $226,000 in miscellaneous operating receipts.
Expenses for the year totaled $2.1 million, an eleven percent increase over the prior year. This includes operating disbursements of $1.2 million, capital outlay of $451,000, $383,000 in sewer and garbage fees remitted to the City and $100,000 in debt service.
