ADM Volleyball is back in action Tuesday night following a 12-day layoff. Naturally, they’ll have to hit the ground running at home against Bondurant-Farrar, who is tied with ADM for second place in the Raccoon River Conference.

The No. 10 Tigers are riding a three-game winning streak against conference foes and currently sit a game behind the Ballard Bombers, who are 5-0 in conference play. ADM (19-8, 5-0 RRC) has already earned a first-round bye in the Regional playoffs, which begin Monday, Oct. 27, so it doesn’t matter if ADM wins the conference.

That doesn’t mean the Tigers aren’t gunning for a second consecutive Raccoon River crown.

“Oh, it’s huge for us,” Tigers head coach Mary Beth Scott said of winning another conference title. “We won it last year, and our girls have really worked hard for that. We have been close many times. It was a great match with Bondurant-Farrar last year. There’s a lot on the line, and it’s a goal we have, and we would like to have it again.

“We talk about it a little bit, but again we try to focus on playing our best volleyball. It’s certainly at the top of our list.”

The match with Bondurrant-Farrar from last season Scott referred to was a five-setter won by ADM, with no set decided by more than six points and four of the five sets decided by four points or fewer.
