The Adel City Council will meet in regular session tonight.
Items on the agenda include updates on the new well project and park and recreation department, consideration of a resolution in support of the Raccoon River Valley Rail Public Art Initiative and approval of participation in the Municipalities Continuing Disclosure Cooperative Initiative.
The Council will then set a public hearing in regards to the amended and restated Urban Renewal Plan, consider approving a soil boring proposal for the well project and hear a presentation on the Evans Park storm water detention project.
A possible lease agreement with Al Dente Toffee will then be discussed along with possible action on the Main Street reconstruction project. A pay request and change order will be considered for the Main Street façade rehabilitation project, one of four applicants will be appointed to the park and recreation board and Amy Lucht is expected to be appointed to the economic development commission.
Next the council will discuss a nuisance letter in regards to a basketball hoop in the1400 block of Linden Circle, consider animal requests for residents on 288th Trail and 11th Street, consider final plat of surveys for two properties, consider approval of culver project and bills for Old Portland Road and consider the second pay request for the water tower painting project.
The meeting takes place at 6pm at the Adel City Hall.
