Those needing continuing education for commercial applicator training can attend several sessions that are offered with the Guthrie County ISU Extension office.
Program Coordinator Mary Ebert says a roadside forest and aquatic pest management class will be offered on October 15th and mosquito and public health pest management will be on October 23rd. Both workshops will be at 9am.
Classes in November include ornamental and turfgrass at 1:30pm on November 5th, commercial ag weed, insect and plant disease management is at 9am on November 12th and fumigation will also at 9am on November 18th.
Pest Control operators training will take place at 9am on December 3rd.
Ebert notes that all but the last class in December have a $35 fee and the pest control operators need to pay $60. If you are interested in taking any of the classes, you can pre-register up until the day of each session without paying a $10 the day of the workshops.
If you can’t make it to a training session but want to attend, contact the Extension office in Guthrie Center to make arrangements to view the materials.
