The ADM volleyball team played its first match in over a week last night and fell in straight sets to the Boone Toreadors at home.

Tigers head coach Mary Beth Scott said through the first 19 points or so of the first set, her team played “beautifully.” After that, however, the Tigers began to lose some of their mojo, and ultimately dropped the first set by a score of 25-22.

Unfortunately for ADM, the Tigers (14-6, 1-1 RRC) weren’t able to rediscover their good form from early in the match. ADM dropped the second set 25-16 and lost the third and final set 25-19.

For ADM, senior Kari Dufoe lead the way with eight kills. Fellow senior Marissa Felt paced the Tigers with 13 assists while junior Brennan Hook had the squad’s other 11 assists.

Since starting 12-2, the tigers have gone 2-4. ADM continues Raccoon River Conference play on Tuesday when they’ll travel to Huxley to take on the Ballard Bombers.
