The Guthrie Center School Board met on Monday night in regular session.
The outgoing Board approved the 2014 Certified Annual Report and a request for modified allowable growth and supplemental aid for a negative $108,722.37 for special education was also approved.
Following that meeting, the Board met for its regular meeting. The Board voted Melia Van Meter as president, Keith Buttler to remain as vice-president and Joni Rees as secretary and treasurer for the 2014-15 school year. Wes Policky was appointed as the delegate to the Iowa Association of School Boards.
The Board approved its depositories to Guthrie County State Bank and People’s Trust and Savings Bank to each not exceed $5 million. They also approved to hire Carrie O’Brien and Bailey Schreiber as middle school volleyball coaches and Zach Leeper as middle school girls track coach.
The finally approved two open enrollments for the school year including Ashton Templeman in from Adair-Casey and Andrew Rosenbeck out to Clayton Ridge Virtual Academy.
The School Board meetings will continue to be the third Monday every month at 7pm in the Superintendent’s office in Guthrie Center.
