Tonight’s non-district high school football game at Carroll Athletic Field on KG98 between Greene County and Kuemper Catholic features two teams that hope to rid themselves of week one frustrations. The Rams lost in Jefferson 12-6 to South Central Calhoun (Lake City) while the Knights lost 34-0 to Carroll High.

Greene County squandered scoring chances because of penalties and turnovers vs. the Titans while the Knights managed just 23 yards of offense vs. the Tigers. Dean Lansman is the head coach of the Rams and he told Raccoon Valley Radio that emphasis in practice this week was on reducing mistakes. The Rams had 10 penalties and two turnovers in the opener. The Knights lost the ball four times on fumbles, so both teams will be seeking to clean up their acts.
